As an artist in the Age of AI, I perceive creativity to be something that my interactions with technology shape and influence rather than separate from it. Working with glitches, collaborative instructions, and hybrid cyborg identities throughout the course exemplified that artistic processes can either be expanded, transformed or disrupted. Artists should relate to new AI systems through balancing curiosity and criticality where they’re open to experimentation but are aware of the biases, distortions, and limitations AI brings, similar to other systems. We can embrace AI’s potential by treating it as a generative partner that can break patterns, spark unexpected variations and support our ideas, while still keeping our own intentions and authorship. We can expand our creativity through AI systems by the way we used remixing, looping, and collage generating in class. We use it as a tool to multiply possibilities and spark more intricate and creative ideas within our minds which doesn't replace human decision-making.
